Skiers and snowboarders in Newfoundland and Labrador are anticipating another incredible season at resorts throughout the province. Last year’s snowy conditions are expected again this season with the Farmer’s Almanac and abundant dog berries supporting that expectation.

Smokey Mountain in Labrador City relies on natural snow and is never disappointed. They want everyone to ski this year so you can buy your season pass at Smokey for a drastically reduced rate! They have been busy brush cutting and putting up snow fence to help Mother Nature blanket this exciting mountain with top quality snow. Our other ski area in Labrador is Mt. Shana, located in Goose Bay and avid skiers and snowboarders there also rely on natural snow and are rarely disappointed.

Unfortunately, Copper Creek in Baie Verte will not be opening this season and while Pine Tree on the provinces west coast is yet to open, owner Dean Simon is determined that this is the year we’ll see skiers and snowboarders at his facility. We wish him luck.

Newfoundland and Labrador is a wonderful place to ski and snowboard so plan to visit this winter and enjoy everything the province has to offer. You’ll have a great time!
